There are so many activities and sports to enjoy in the Los Alcázares area. Some of these are below but locals are always very happy to help with information to find whatever source of fun you are looking for. Not to mention the great bars and restaurants, the wonderful beaches and the many top-class golf courses.
The Muds of the Mar Menor ... a Spa in the Open Air
The properties of the muds and clays of the Mar Menor have been famous for centuries. Here you can take care of yourself on the inside and outside: its almost perfect climate makes it possible to have the best of both worlds - a wide range of leisure activities and a relaxing and rejuvenating experience - throughout the year.
Mar Menor
The Mar Menor is a large coastal lake, measuring some 170 square kilometers, with salt, warm waters and clays which have purifying and therapeutic characteristics.

Its specific climatic conditions have meant that therapeutic clays have been deposited here for centuries. Among other properties, the clays contain certain basic elements for a healthy body, such as calcium, magnesium and potassium. They are recommended as anti-inflammatories for rheumatism, arthritis or gout, as well as a treatment for acne and other skin problems, and they are also great purifiers due to their great power of absorption: a layer of clay acts like blotting paper, eliminating all the toxins from the skin.

The process is very simple and can be done by anyone: all you have to do is cover your skin with clay using your hands or a spatula and, when sufficient time has passed, wash your skin clean in the salt water lake. It’s perfect in the hot sun which makes the clay layer dry more quickly.

You can also make the most of the properties of the clay by visiting the spas and specialist centers of the region who offer a large variety of treatments using thermal clays, hydrotherapy, anti-stress programmes and massages.
La Zenia Boulevard Shopping Centre
La Zenia Boulevard Shopping Centre is a shopping mall at the Orihuela Costa.
It is the largest shopping centre of the province of Alicante. It occupies 161.000 square meters and has about 150 shops; and offers 5000 free parking spaces.
La Zenia Boulevard looks a lot like an American shopping mall but with a beautiful Mediterranean accent. The Mall has activities almost every weekend; the activities draw many people from Orihuela Costa, Torrevieja, Benidorm and even further afield.

Spring, Summer and Autumn : Monday through Sunday, From 10:00 till 23:00
Winter: Monday through Saturday , From 10:00 till 22:00.
In the winter season the shops are closed on Sunday; but the bars and restaurants are open throughout the year.
